a lot of overpriced underperformers? sorry to be cynical but trail cams have to be the most hit/miss hunting product genre on the market. Good brand name bows are good bows- same with broadheads, stands, arrows, rests, and sights. Trail cams? Not so much.
True- never shelled out the cash for a reconyx yet, but I've also not heard many (if any?) complaints about them other than the cost. Maybe once I get my own land I'll find out. Just amazes me how much variance in quality the same brands/price points have from year to year.
Browning is showing the new 2018 models on there site. Also Bolymedia also. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
I like my 2 Browning Spec Ops Extreme cams. Best day videos out there. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
I'm guessing you might see more cellular cameras with new features. I could see cameras start to get a blue tooth option where you could upload the pictures in the camera without removing the chip.
If that’s the case then an internal storage would be nice. With expandable slot of course. Give the option to use an sd or not. That way you would never see the stupid “No sd card” that pops up that wont even let you see the battery life!!!!!!! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I have a reconyx mr5. The bluetooth/wifi download is slow. If you put cams high in the tree I see a benifit. If ground level it's much faster to swap cards. Now I would like to see some long range wifi capabilities where I can be at least 100 real yards (trees included) from the cam. If I could download at longer ranges and not disturb the area then I will be testing them out. We need better night pics and videos with black flash cams. The stealth ds4k is the best night video black flash cams I have. Cellular 4G is here already. They send videos or pictures. I have the new 4G Spartan black flash cellular. It works great and send good pics and videos. Sent from my SM-T537V using Tapatalk
The blue tooth feature on my go pro to my phone app is really fast. I wonder why it wouldn't be the same for a trail camera. I think that would be a sweet feature.
Hawk came out with some cameras. They look petty nice. Price isn’t terrible either. https://www.hawkhunting.com/blogs/news/hawk-launches-ghost-game-cameras Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Those fellows at hawk have their crap together.............They will sale a ton of these....Including a couple to me....LOL
Yeah I haven’t bought a new cam in awhile so I’ll probably check them out. Hopefully they produce enough of them and do it quickly. I know they were slacking on some of their other products like stands and sticks. It was tough to find them in stock on their site at least. But if they keep the stores stocked it shouldn’t be too bad. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yes the demand will probably kill them... It took me forever last year just to get a Cruzr bracket for my stand Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
What if you could view your photos using bluetooth and save the ones you want? That would make it a little quicker wouldn't it? Then delete the ones you don't want to save.
I can do all that with the mr5. It works with WiFi. I can view, save, delete, download video and pictures or download HD pics and videos to my phone. I think the Bluetooth requires you to be closer than the WiFi. The mr5 Wi-Fi is supposed to work up to 100 ft. The download time depends on the amount of pics/videos. I can change my card in under 1 min or less. I swap cards and look at the cards on my computer or tablet. I look at my mr5 pic/videos on my phone. When i see one i want to keep i pull the card. Fast in fast out. Only better if I could stay a hundred or two yards away and download. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
