I have friends that are outfitters in Iowa with limited hunts. I hunt their farms but my son met Fletch a few years ago and he invited my son to hunt his farm.

I passed on 4 deer in the yard today had my release on and ready to shoot but I can not shoot a fawn, hard to do with a half a pig and a quarter of farm raised beef in the freezer.
I’m realistic and I don’t think we can win this but saying that I have not given up. I will be hunting 26th and 27th and then I have a week off from the 30th so I should still have at least 5 full sits left to get a buck. I am going on Thursday to pull my SD cards to make a action plan for them dates.
Yeah I looked at the scores, I hate to say it guys, but we are doomed lol. That is unless mark drury has us all out to one of his farms to take management 200" bucks. Yeah this is my first year in the competition and I’m lovin it! Still trying for that buck! I’ll be out in the morning, it’s been too cold for my camera to work though and it’s gonna be cold again so I probably just won’t bring it. Some nice bucks made it past rifle season but still have alternative method left. This is my top 3 Always nice to get a bobcat Will be out on the 26th then my week vacation starting the 30th. I have 2 stands that are getting 2 shooters per week walking past during the day so I feel I have a good chance.

I’m in NJ. Taking the kids out hunting Monday through Wednesday hoping to get Grace(12) and James(10) their second and first deer. Will be out in the ground blind with the cross bow. It’s going to be pretty cold so I may grab some morning sits by myself with the Bear compound and the climber. Still holding out for a buck!
