Has anyone here had any experiences with this? Looking for a 2019 plan, and trying not to break the bank with it. 2 guys, archery, experienced hunters. Anyone have any clues, places, ideas? Thanks,
I just did it in Alaska this past spring for 10 days. I had a blast, and once we keyed in on what the bears were doing we saw quite a few. I had some stalks with a bow and had chances at 31, 50, and 55 yards. But couldn't shoot for various reasons. My buddy killed one with his rifle on our last day (the one I was 50 yards from without a good shot) It was a really fun hunt, but we backpacked in and it took some time to find the bears (5 days actually). A hunt could be done in the lower 48 (Idaho or Montana) for cheaper probably, but you miss out on the Alaska experience. We glassed up several dall sheep and mountain goats, 2 bull moose, and 3 brown bears while we were there and the scenery was top notch. Sent from my LGLS992 using Tapatalk
Man you have to go to Idaho I hunted with an outfitter there called JnV Big Game Outfitters and our group of 5 put down 4 bears. We only paid a couple grand a piece for 5 days of hunting. To top it off we also saw tons of elk, mule and whitetail deer as well as some moose. They are based out of northern Idaho in Silverton and Avery. Even if you don't hunt with them get into unit 5 or 6 there are tons of bears and tags are relatively cheap. I have been every year for the last 3 years with them.
I guide in Northern Ontario for Black Bears If you are interested I’ll put you on some blueberry field Or clear-cut
I have hunted all over idaho. Shoot me a PM if you have any specific questions about there Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
