Was out for a short sit yesterday, and the nice nine point I have been after showed up with a doe. They worked in behind me where I don't have a shot of course. Ranged him at 38 yards and was having the "I can squeeze an arrow through there" conversation in my head. I didn't shoot. Too many limbs were in the way. I spotted them about 35 minutes earlier. Amazingly enough I never heard them work in behind me until they were right there. How do they do that?! I did learn where he is coming from though and may be able to adjust for a better opportunity. I'm still trying to down a couple.
Sounds like you made the right decision. Regroup, adjust that stand and go get him! Good Luck! Sent from my XT1254 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
I'll prob get out this evening and the following 3 evenings. One more sit in the spot I keep seeing the 9 and then a reserved spot that is on the edge of bedding that I have left alone all year. It's a one time super aggressive move that I hope pays off. I don't even have a camera in there. Who knows.
Merry Christmas fellas. Hope you all the best. Sent from my SM-G935V using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Merry Christmas guys. As always, the contest provided a great opportunity to get to know a great group of guys, for which I am greatful. May you and your families have a blessed holiday season. Sent from my XT1254 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app

I can hunt when it's cold, as long as it's not windy. I've killed several deer when it's been below zero but it's been calm.
I just had a small doe bust through my set at 5 yards. I was hoping a buck was chasing, but nobody ever showed. 19° and windy...not too bad in my pop-up blind.
So it's been like a week since anyone has been on. It's been brutally cold here. I'm looking to get back out after the Ohio muzzle loader season which is the 6th through the 9th. Plus temps are suppose to moderate into the 20's and 30's by then.
I may have a couple opportunities to get out. Deer have been no shows past three sits. Sent from my SM-G935V using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
