I’m back gentleman!!! Finally got the rifle season over with. Taking control of the deer processing plant sure has put a dampener on my hunting and this competition. But I’m back and ready to hunt. Cold weather finally arrived, moon phase is getting about right and the 2cd or 3rd rut is coming in. Still a good chance I can seal the deal on a shooter. Congrats on those who has killed so far. Again I’m back and will be on everyday again.

Good luck! The 8 pointer I killed this week was grunting and dogging a doe hard! Definitely the second rut was on. He was the 3rd buck I saw chasing this week!

Well the past few days haven’t been very good. Deer movement is so weird right now, they disappear for a few days then they come back. I have found a new spot for the rest of this season but I’m already looking forward to next year lol.

Me too! I’m waiting for the cameras to show what’s in store for next year. Also waiting until Jan 8th to go do some habitat improvement.

I’m still getting some good bucks on camera but zero daytime pics. Hopefully I can get one of them in the next month lol. But I’m still excited for next year.

I am in the same boat. Couple nice bucks on camera but all of them are moving during the middle of the night.

I’m going to check cameras tomorrow.... I hope some daytime activity is happening. For the ones still hunting I wish you good luck. Let’s close this competition out strong.

Lol I’m going to check mine today also. I had one last pull but he was smaller than the one I killed. I moved one camera to the very back of the property a couple weeks ago, probably need to move the other one to what’s left of my clover plot

Well it looks like some nice bucks are going to make it, just hope they make it through winter. Here before too much longer I have figure out a way to get back to this spot. I’m getting daylight pics only since I’ve had the camera back here. That high racked one is one I’ve been watching for 2 years now.

Yeah my card pull wasn’t impressive lol. Actually going fishing instead of hunting. Just a weird year on the lease.

I saw those pics on the ice fishing thread and got to thinking about it. I’ve only been once and I was a little kid. We don’t have those ice shacks with two TVs here in central Indiana lol. It looks like a blast...if done correctly.

Congrats on the buck Lung Buster!

Our season ended here in Maine a week ago on the 9th. I was able to shoot a doe on the 5th with my muzzleloader to end the season.

Good luck to all the rest of you guys still out hunting, it's been a great team we've had!

Sounds like you didn’t take enough beer lol. I got my skull mount done. I bought a kit off of amazon. It turned out okay. I still have to put a brass tag on it with the date, time, and stuff.

Lol well i started doing euros as a side deal. Local taxidermy is sending me all of his euros. He doesnt want to do them any more. I got them dermestid beetles and they are starting to kick butt on the meet i give them. Takes em like 3 hrs and they have a couple ozs of deer meet scraps eat gone. Cant wait to get a coon skull i trapped in there. And then i am gonna get my wifes buck in there.
