Each participant is allowed to enter ONE antlered deer as their “Buck Score”. This must be the FIRST antlered deer that you harvest during the season.

Score will be based on GROSS total score using the P&Y scoring system. All measurements must be listed at time when score is posted. If anyone has any problems with scoring, please ask for help first.

Mule Deer and Blacktail deer will not have a multiplier for the inches of antler that the animal scores. Whatever the gross score is will count as your final score.

Each participant is also allowed to enter ONE “Bonus Deer” as well. Antlerless deer, regardless of size, will count as 50 points.A second buck can be entered in place of a doe as your “Bonus Deer” counting for the 50 points. *Remember, you’re first antlered deer must be used as your “Buck Score”, your second antlered deer will be worth only 50 points, even if it’s bigger than your first.

So a buck and a "bonus" deer. 2 does are not allowed as I read it.

If you look at your score card there is a circumference measurement missing. There are always 4 circumference measurements on both sides regardless on number of points. Many people don't realize this. Spikes get 4, 12 points get 4, etc. Just making sure our team gets every inch we can, lol.

Hell I had to go back and read it too. I honestly didn't know for sure. Figured I'd copy paste while I was at it.

Finally after 4 sits in the last 6 nights I had 2 deer come in. One was a 1 1/2 old buck and the other a doe fawn. With more snow on the way and it remaining relatively cold these next couple days I'm looking for increased sightings at the corn pile and hoping a shooter comes by. A nice big buck or doe. Either way I'm looking for more meat.

I saw the same little buck I saw last night, but I could see they really tore my corn pile up last night. Friday evening is up next.

I've even got bucks freshening up scrapes since they found my corn pile. Less than 10 yards from my stand. 20171215_162126.jpg

Congrats! That is awesome. I'm about to head in to the stand myself.

4 does came in and I was turned the wrong way and had to feel for my bow on the hanger. Apparently I nudged the arrow off the rest because when I shot I heard a noise and the shot was high and right by 20 feet. The noise I heard was the Fletches hitting the riser I assume. Visual inspection on my bow was fine. Shooting in the morn to be sure but I'm about positive that is what happened. Pretty sick about it but clean miss and they had no clue what happened. They'll be back.

Keep at it. In the late season persistence usually pays off eventually!

Gun season really messed with the deer I hunt. I put out a ton of corn and didn't set foot on the property, but the deer still disappeared. I didn't have a single pic from 11/28 to 12/10. I even tried recovering deleted pics, thinking maybe a trespasser found my cameras, but that doesn't appear to be the case. I'm checking cams tomorrow and then I'll get out to hunt a couple times next weekend. I still think a doe is very doable this season...

This dude has a sweet setup! 1/4 acre lot, 200lbs of corn, 2 jugs of molasses, and 3 scent bombs. He asked us not to work by his stand because he was hunting it this weekend (shotgun).

Same thing happens to me every year in the late season. Every time the guns go off, I have found it's best to wait a week before I even think about hunting. This last time I put out 200 pounds of corn and they didn't even touch it for 6 days. Usually 200 pounds is gone in about 3 days before the guns start going off in my area. I knew they would eventually show up and my patience paid off.
