What happened? Covert pics used to be gold now all I see are stealthcam. What did I miss or did steathcam start making some better builds.
When you don't improve other catch up and pass you up. The best pic cam I have seen yet is the new Stealth DS4K. It's also at the top or second on 1080p videos. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
I sold off all my coverts as well. May look like I need to do some some investing into stealth cam. I have seen some nice pics from their cameras recently.
I am a sub $100 camera guy so my selection is generally limited to hunting for sales. In that market, Covert has beaten the other camera brands I have (Primos, Stealth, Snyper) by a long shot. The Snyper cameras are the worst cameras I have owned. I do like the higher priced Stealth Cams, but when I can find Coverts on sale for $60-$80, it's hard for me to justify spending more. Yup, Covert's nook now IMO is sub $100 cams outperforming many many others IMO, their higher priced models leave me desiring more though. Camera companies seem to do this, one will be ahead of others in image quality and then others catch up while the one remains the same living off the past merits before being forced to update/change. Radix has taken over my pocket books now if I am gonna spend over $100 I'll go there. Under $100 I go Coverts. Shoot I have probably around 8 or 9 Mpe6s or Mp8s all still ticking. I even have a couple Bresser's that I grabbed off walmart for $9.99 LOL! No date stamps but dang things awesome if all you need is pictures taken and don't care if stolen at all! May litter an Ohio public spot I've thought about scouting for next season this off season.
Yep, I have never had a Covert quit on me and they stay in the woods from July-March, with most of them dating back to 2013. I did like the Black Friday Radix deal, but unless I succeed in picking up more ground to hunt (or if I can get Snyper to give me my money back), the 10 cameras I have now are sufficient. Covert picture quality compared to my stealth cams are ehh but man the battery life in the coverts is simply amazing. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Every Stealthcam I've ever owned was a huge disappointment, never again. Covert has been great for me as well. My only complaint has been the quality of night shots.
I have 3 Wildgame Innovations I like really well. Do all I need them to. Also one Mountrie but it do't have the date/time stamps but the price was right. Pic quality is good on all of them. Now that I said that will have 2 of them shoot craps.
I feel obligated to chime back in. After my experience with Snyper's customer service rep they did everything they could to help me. The end result was sending me 2 of their top model (non cell) trail cameras. While the jury is still out on this latest model, I do appreciate a company going above and beyond to help. I’ve had the opposite experience with stealthcams. I have 15 and ran them all summer until last month and only had one that stopped taking night pictures. But that camera was a refurb so wasn’t that surprised it stopped working correctly. All the other cams were awesome.
Imo the only stealth cams worth having are the g42, g45 and ds4k. In picture mode the ds4k blows everything away. It is one of my top two for videos. The newer g42 have had issues. The good Bushnell if you like a glow led camera is the E2. Not E3. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Not at all brother you out of many here know I wouldn't do that. Been awhile since that post, still don't know many staying with them but a trustworthy buddy of mine just swore to me how much he loves em.
Covert day pics are among the best IMO, their night pics leave much to be desired. But, that battery life is unreal!
I just wish I could find the black market stash of 2013 Covert Red 40s and buy all of them...I miss those cams.
I got mp6, mp8, and Red HD 40. Love them, the mp6 has been on the same tree for 5 years now....lol Sent from my SM-S327VL using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
