Guys it is a rule in the contest that you have to provide the scoring breakdown. In past years I’ve seen scoring mistakes that both helped and hurt people just by looking at the score breakdowns. Im sure that’s why it’s a rule, it’s easy to make a mistake if you haven’t done this a bunch.
Yessir, Fitz will mark them where/when necessary. I would love to see some sort of scoring breakdown required. Not to discredit anyone, but maybe to guide some on scoring and what or what does not count. I don't want the contest to disappear over something like this.
Benny, I apologize if I crossed the line. No offense was intended. You should be proud of that buck. I can guarantee you that I would be proud to put my tag on him regardless of what it "scores". The contest is all about comradery and having fun, not nit picking and I am no expert scorer by any means. I simply used your entry as an example of possible mistake. Benny I don't think anyone is calling anyone a liar or a cheat. I just agree the rule should be in place to show the individual scores. I think it may already be. That's to prevent mistakes. For the record every year there are mistakes that have taken deer scores up and down. So don't take it the wrong way. Just eyeballing your pics, you would need to have incredible mass scores to reach 130 on that 8 point. A 130 8 has to be waaaaayyy bigger then a 130 10. I know it can be deceiving sometimes looking at guys pics. So don't take what the guys are saying above as an attack at you. I think your score was just another example. And by the way. That is a incredible deer and however many inches he is. Your that many more inches then I have so far this year.
Damn, just noticed on my score breakdown I have left for right and right for left. Was entering it in a contest at work and had to get tip to tip and greatest spreads. Scores right just inverted

@Fitz I update my buck entry on the score card to include the time of day. Points for team 5 Stay Tined on page 7 of scorecard thread.
@bloodcrick had an awesome weekend. Always wanted to shoot a deer with a big abnormal point like that.

Thanks covey. All my friends went home and I'm still sitting in garage staring at this deer lol. My wife is starting to get jelious. Cls, you wanna touch it? Just the tip? Lol. I have scored it above 190. I estimated it as a 180. So just to make sure. Tomorrow I'm taking the head into the best taxidermist north of the border. These guys do work for a lot of the tv hunting celebs. I'm gonna have him tape it before I call the score.
