Great job on the harvests guys. Sorry haven’t checked in past couple days, been hunting and we’re still in the seeking phase but have seen a lot of deer and passed on several encounters. Let 2 smaller 8pts go today and a 6pt this morning. Coming home too wash clothes and watch my kids then going back out the 11-12. Found some trail photos of my top hit lister sucks he broke off some trash but still going to take him if opportunity present itself.

Well guys, I got it done on friday evening. I will post pics here in a little bit. It is a very thick main frame 10 with a small kicker on the G2. We scored him at 138 5/8. I hadn't hunted this spot much this year and he came out of no where and I was lucky enough to finish it.

Well was out again yesterday and passed on 8 does, 4pt and a small 10. Seen 2 groups of turkeys and pretty quiet. Haven’t seen a mature buck yet on hoof yet this year. Rut has been really weird this year. Starting to get frustrated, could be a long season

You said it right when you said the rut has been weird. There has just been nothing going on in the woods the last week. No rutting activity except for the smaller bucks getting antsy. That’s at least how it is by me

Yeah exactly same here in south Ohio. Had a lil 4 pt chasing a doe yesterday evening that was it. Fawns still with does, hardly any vocals, and no mature buck rutting sign. I’m in good spots with a lot of traffic but not the ones I’m after.

Well, I won't be back out with my bow til Dec 1st. Gun season starts Wednesday and goes thru end of November. I do plan on hunting as much as I can come December. Also been a weird season, very little rutting around here.

Strange here too. I hunted all day Friday and saw 5 different bucks and 5 does. Two small bucks presented shots but passed. Oly saw one nice mature buck but could not get him to commit to grunting. Friday there was activity all day.

Saturday I went out in the afternoon and saw one small forkie. Sunday I hunted all day except an hour around midday and did not see or hear a deer the whole day. It's like someone shutoff a faucet.

Nice hunt, Neal! That's a great deer.

Very hard shot to make but that was perfect

Well nothing in the morning so did a hang and hunt in a area I know and the 10mph winds predicted by our dependable weather folks ended up being 20mph but still managed to see 3 does and a shooter just out of bow range 50yrds and would respond to grunt call

    Hi All
    Had a nice Buck (#2)come by Saturday @ 8:30 all alone cruising walked into the shooting lane at 35 yards. Better points if he would have been first lol 18 5/8 inside spread and 20 + inch mains. 11 18 17 B2 p1.JPG 11 18 17 B2 p1.JPG 11 18 17 B2 p4.JPG
