Anybody heard from @Afflicted @ILL BUCK Jr or @PaBowhunter ? Curious how their seasons are going.

I leave tomorrow night for our place in Indiana. I have next week off so that gives me 9 days to try and get something done. As of now the forecast looks warm with several chances for thunderstorms so I will have to pick my times to hunt certain spots to maximize my chances.

Scored my buck this evening 110 3/8. Weak brow tines hurt his score. I misjudged those. If they were what I thought when I shot, he would be upper teens, maybe 120.

that's the way these contests always go. only a few active teammates. need a rule where somehow they can be replaced if they aren't active.

I think the minimum post requirement should be raised substantially. Maybe 200 posts to participate.

Weather sucks here today so I skipped out on hunting. It's humid, wet, and high in the low 70's.
Tomorrow should be good with temps only reaching the 50's. That low pressure should get them moving hopefully.

Didn't see a deer today. I am off Monday and Tuesday so I will keep on grinding. Sooner or later it will come together.

Im still around and hunting but havent had much coming in. several doe but the weather got very warm and had to work today and a cold front comes back in. I had been holding off on a doe until i get a shot at a nice buck but at this point the 1st doe to come within range will get shot and ill leave her hang out as still bait, maybe drip some doe in heat antler ice around her and get her in a nice seated position with a 3d buck target near her.

Too bad they don’t give out bonus points for creativity in the setup. I love to see a video of a successful hunt over that.

Only saw this one doe today. She was 20 yards straight down wind and never blew or spooked. She smelt the sir for a little while, but then just continued on. She is to the right of the white tree.[IMG]

Checked my camera and had this new buck cruising through last night. Hopefully he comes back through tomorrow.[IMG][IMG][IMG]

Well, more issues with the crossbow I bought for my boys. My parents are in town so my dad and I took my oldest out for a quick hunt last night. Saw a little fork horn, nothing else. Shot the crossbow into my target to decock after we got home. The string and cables derailed. So I will be on the phone with PSE later to see what the want to do about this mess. This is a replacement crossbow they issued me after a recall that happened a month before season started. I doubt that I had more than 200 shots through it when this happened. Really wish I had bought something else. Apparently, these PSE Fang crossbows have always had issues. I can still hunt with my compound but my boys are not big enough to pull enough draw weight for that. Only reason I bought the crossbow.

Sorry to here about that man. PSE should send you a new crossbow for all of your troubles, wishful thinking I know. Hopefully the issue gets resolved quickly for you and your boys.

I talked to customer service this afternoon. I have to send in the limbs, cable, and strings. They are going to warranty replace them.
