Who's ready? We're heading to the lease to start our annual clean up and scouting efforts. We're a little late but better late than never.
Down to 3 weeks until the opener. Property is ready and we've been getting some pics of some good bucks every time we go out to check cams. I plan on getting some good vids and posting them to my YouTube channel to document the season. I've got a good feeling that this is about to be a pretty epic year.
Well I haven't put any cameras out yet!!! I've been staying out of my spots for two reason.... 1. Freaking ticks are bad!!! 2. I'm trying a little different approach this year. @TeamOkie918 Man good luck to you this season, you've got some great deer pics... let the rage eat!!!! I'd love to hear a success story!

Yeah man, he's a bruiser for sure. That was the first time we have seen him so far this year. We also have pics of a buck that has 6 pts on one side and 4 pts on the other. I have said all along that the asymmetrical one was at the top of my hit list, but I think the center one in that last pic I posted is now my #1!!!
Yeah he'd be who I was after for sure! But heck that first buck doesn't look to bad either. I have decided to put my cameras out tomorrow. Seeing everybody's pictures sure does get my blood pumping, and I'm anxious to see what I've got in my areas.
What part of the state do you hunt? Those pics of mine came from a piece of property kind of north of Tulsa.

My dad got a new x-bow this past week so we headed out to the archery park for some last minute sight adjustments. Officially ready for Sunday. Bring it on!
This guy , I feel, is taunting me and has been since the first pic we got of him in velvet. This was 3 days ago at 0735 hrs. Hopefully the next time I see him, it's from my stand and I'm about to make him a wall hanger.
Well opening morning didn't go as planned. We got set and were confident that we were at two different water sources they have been using. Literally two mins before shooting time, my brother's two dogs came running through the creek bed and jumped three deer up from their bedding area. The race was on and the dogs spent about 20 mins running the deer. Immediately we both knew our day was done, so we were back at his house by 0930, both of us a bit disappointed. Oh well, it's not about the kill, it's about making memories and being out in the woods. Plus, there is a whole lot of season left and two other pieces of property for us to hunt. Onward and upward! Anyone else put anything down this past weekend?
