Yes, let's do this! Just got my stand and lifeline set up yesterday. Hoping for my biggest buck yet this year to help contribute...

When checking in, i think it would be helpful if everyone puts if they have done this contest before or if this is the first year. This will be my second year. Last year, i was on team 28 (first alternate team). I shot my biggest buck to date at 133 2/8". I hunt exclusively east texas public land. We are allowed 2 antlered and 3 antlerless deer a year. This will also be my second year to archery hunt and because Texas lets you hunt durint rifle season, I do not use a rifle. I have a trail camera out and my spot is covered up in doe. Haven't seen any bucks yet but i know once the rut hits, the bucks go where the doe are.

This is my third year doing the contest, first year was a bust but, I did score points for the gun contest with a nice 126 3/4" 8 point.

Last year I contributed to our team with a 123 3/4" 8 point

This year my goal is at least a doe, not much on cams right now that I would shoot.

Checking in...this will be my 3rd year I've yet to kill a buck but I am always good for at least a doe or 2. I hunt private land in Central Kansas. I have one shooter on camera right now but I know a few people that hunt around me and there are some big around.

Checking in. Hope all is well with everyone! This is my second year. Was only able to harvest a doe last year, but have already seen more bucks than any years previous! Let's have some fun and put some big ones down!

I always check my tune before the season starts. This year it's off and I'm having trouble getting the broadheads and field points to come together.

I plan on trying mechanicals this year so it isn't a huge issue except my Archery OCD won't let me leave it go.

I think we have to pick a "captain". I nominate No.6 Hunter. Any seconds? :moose:

I have no issues with No.6 being captain. He has plenty of posts and been in the contest multiple times so he knows the format well. anyone want to throw out some team name suggestions?

Hey just checking in. This will be my 4th or 5th contest. Can't remember if did it first year a member. I've been kinds picky about bucks with bow last couple years because we've had some good ones on farm but have shot at least one doe or more every year in contest.

Farm i hunt had a 170 killed two years ago and had one maybe two close to that last year and the one stayed around at least until shed season. Haven't checked cams much lately but will this weekend. Good luck guys and have a safe year.

It seems that I got my tuning issue sorted out. It took a simple adjustment of how I grip the bow.

Apparently Elite bows like a grip more towards the palm side of the life line as opposed to the thumb side.

I'm cool with being captain, I've done it before :tu:

Here is one potential shooter but I think he may get the pass once velvet falls off.

Give google photos a try, It works really well if you have an Android phone.

also, all I have to do is "Right-Click"on the photo then "Copy & Paste" right to our discussion.
