    With a bow or a rifle in most cases. LOL! Welcome to the site bro! It all depends on where you hunt. If you hunt public land, being mobile is best. Use a climber or a lock on stand with climbing sticks.

    I grew up there and hunted a lot. Bow muzzle load and rifle. Give some details and I can maybe give a few pointers. Where are you planning to hunt in NC?

    I was near Goldsboro and the hunting was rough that's for sure, very hard to pattern deer down there

    Yes I am near in goldsboro/Wilson and it's been hard pattering the deer I have hunted for years I'm not new to the sport but the past couple years have been hard patterning the deer and what not I'm sorry for not being so detailed of what I meant by the question I was trying to say what's the best way to hunt field or woods? and what are some of you guys pointers in what I should do to pattern the deer better just want to try somthing new ?

    What part are you in? I was in mount olive area, best luck I had was about 20-30 yards into the woods off of the fields

    Eureka and Fremont area lots of good lands and good woods but it's been slow rutt is always good but early September bow season and what not has been rough and just trying to try somthing differnt

    Early season is definitely tough down there with all their food sources, wish I could give you some advice but I was not successful in the early season
