I just wanted to know if anyone had anything to say on hunting in the big thicket. I'm going to apply for a permit in the lance rosier unit this year.
Are you on 'east Texas hunting club' group on Facebook? There is over 4k users on there. Lot of people are pretty helpful on there plus you can see pics of kills, leases that are coming open, and people post their movement during the season. There may be some people on there that could help man.
So i got an opportunity to scout the lance rosier unit and i am very excited about hunting it. It has a lot of good looking spots and I was able to locate some good food sources. Also while saving gps spots on my phone i looked up to see a hog in the distance. I hunkered down behind a log and watched as he came over the ridge with some of his buddies. Next thing I know I've got 4 hogs all with 20yrds. Unfortunately hunting is not permitted at this time of year so I did the next best thing and pulled out my phone and took pictures. I was able to get one solid picture to share with yall.
