Bad news ,heard something disturbing about the carabiner for the hunter safty systems is failing .

    That was 7 years ago. I've been wearing HSS equipment since 2012 with zero issues. I've never even seen a carabiner from HSS that looks like that.

    Yea plus I think you're supposed to replace your harness every 5 yrs anyway.

    you are correct that it was a recall from 2011 . My mistake should have looked into it better , it is posted under U.S. consumer products safty commision.

    I have that "vintage" Harness and will need to look at the carabiners. Thanks for the heads up!

    Heard Ford had a recall 15 years back on their F150s...crap better just burn the one I got now... :lol:

    Early in my career decades ago I was a lineman so I am knowledgeable about the subject of being aloft and very careful about my climbing equipment. My HSS equipment all seems to be solid and nothing to worry about. I trust it and feel I am much safer using it than when older technology was used.
