    My Lab got tagged by a copperhead tonight which kept the wife from getting bit. But if you'd be so inclined positive get well thoughts or prayers for my dog would be appreciated.

    My Aunt had a lab that got bit all the time. Moccasins, Eastern Diamonds, Pygmy rattlers. If it came in her yard that lab would kill it to protect the kids. She lived a long happy life fat as a tick.

    Seems to have had some venom but would been worse if it was a juvenile snake...or so I'm told be a few experts.

    Ironically my brother was my first call - his specialty herpatology North American poisonous snakes.

    Second call was to the vet but on advice of my brother the dog had already gotten a benedril.
