I'll be out at tomorrow morning! Hopefully I can make some magic happen for a 3rd time this year! And Carter I'll be up there shortly to be your guide!

What kind of decoys were you using, hen or tom? IMO the tom/jake decoy is either the best or worst thing you can use. Depends on how much the other toms have had their butt kicked.

We have been using two hen decoys with a jake. We have had the jake behind one of the hens to look like the hen is getting bred and then put the other hen 10 yards some other direction. The birds are still fairly grouped up so maybe once it starts to get warmer they will break up a bit more and become more responsive.

Hey guys, sorry i've been so quite. March 31st I got a bad case of Influenza A and was in bed in really rough shape for 4 days. I ended up getting better and went back to work and 2 days later I got Bronchitis. Needless to say its been a very rough 2-2.5 weeks but i'm finally slowly starting to feel better. My season is 2 weeks away tomorrow so i'm getting anxious to get out and chase some birds.

Thanks, yea it was pretty miserable. Season 1 opened here in Wisconsin today now i just gotta wait my turn :)
Something about having a bird sneak up on me and hearing them gobble as they get closer is fun and makes me wanna go every year

Glad to hear that you are feeling better! It has been another slow week here in South Dakota. I also have finals coming up so I haven't been out as much as I would like either. Iowa's turkey season opened up on Monday but I won't be able to get back there until next weekend. Hopefully those birds want to cooperate a little more.

AZ is up here from KS. Rained all day yesterday. Hopefully today is a good day. Light winds and mostly clear is the forecast.

Well it's been a rough start for Carter and I haven't heard a bird yet but we've seen birds on neighboring properties so we know they're here! On a plus note I did get some fishing in and caught some!!!! Also we didn't go home empty handed this morning we found a good group a morels!!!

I finally went yesterday. Saw 8 toms and a ton of hens. Nothing close. All on the neighbors. Sunday will be my next run at them. Good luck everybody
