This is only my 3rd season in, but what I have learned so far is get something that is going to be comfortable! If you plan on sitting for a long time, spend the better money on something that is going to be comfortable for you! There are plenty of "good-priced" items out there without having to break the bank.
I have a wishlist of many items. I plan on pimping out my mountain bike to go deep on public. Need to put a rack on the back and something that will hold my bow. I also would like another trail camera.
I need replacement cables for my Summit climber. I may pick up a Hawk stand and sticks if I can. The big purchase will be buying a crossbow for my sons to use. This year will be the first time they are old enough to hunt but they cannot pull back enough draw weight on a compound yet.
I just bought a used Mathews Halon. So I think the only thing on my list that I need are a couple or several more trail cams as well as a couple more tree stand buddy attatchments.
Since we are going archery elk hunting again this year, I want to loose some serious weight! I have an incentive for each 5 lbs I lose until 185 and this is the list of prizes that I" win": 225 - Go HUNT Insider 220 - LANC Controller 215 - Fourth Arrow Camera Arm w/ bases 210 - Badlands Camera Day Pack 205 - Lone Wolf Sticks and quiver 200 - Lone wolf Stand Assault 195 - New Boots/Kenetreks/Danners 190 - Bow Fishing Bow FinFinder or Mission 185 - Spotting Scope Leopold SX-1 Ventana 20-60x80 Spotting Scope Three months at 185 - 300 Win Mag or WSM and a Leopold VX-6HD 3-18X44 or 50 scope
I talked my buddies wife into buying Good luck on your weight loss journey! I hope you achieve those goals and get those items!
Dear Santa, Could you bring me some more years, so I could bow hunt longer, that's all I'd need. 69 and counting . Your friend Bowslinger2
I'll be picking up a LANC remote, and a 4th arrow camera arm for sure.. May be upgrading the HTR too, but not positive yet..
This is the best one yet. My Dad just turned 65 and I know the number of adventures we will have together are numbered.
Since 2017 started - got a 53 acre lease - 1 lone wolf hang on - 2 rivers edge hang ons - 3 sets of guide gear ladder sticks - 2 new stealth cams to add to my trail cams - 3 life lines hopefully my wife doesn't log in and see this list.
Few items on my list: - Two new stands, XOP and LW - Done - 4 more steps - Done - Multiple packs of Evercalm - Done - New Camera Bushnell - TBD - Maybe a crossbow or compound bow for my 10 year old - TBD - Maybe a new range finder for my dad - TBD - New pack of rage - TBD - Climbing harness for my dad - TBD
I tried a Gooserbat call last year and liked it. Granted it was my first season. I bought two more of their calls for this season. I got their Bacon and Double Bit calls. $10 each and free shipping. They sound great to me. I may get new strings for my Charger. I have broadheads and got an XOP climber last season. Also have a dozen uncut Axis arrows that I got a deal on. My brother is closing on some property in May. So I might put some money towards food plots. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
I am in the market for a folding saw for the upcoming season. What brands do I need to avoid that are just crap and for the money what is the best buy? Can anyone recommend anything for me?
Check out the Wicked Tree Gear saw. It's probably the best saw I have used. Another option is look on Arborist gear sites, there saws are made for pro use every day and hold up alot better then most junk out there.
