How big of a jon boat would be needed to comfortably bow fish with 2-3 people and still be stable enough? I was looking for a 1448 Jon boat but a lot of the used ones that are sold locally are only 42" wide. Not sure if I should just pull the trigger or hold out for a 48" wide Jon boat.

I have a 14 foot V that I can comfortably shoot with two guys and two barrels for each of us. Three guys would be pushing it for room, and weight.

Wider is more stable. I use a 1860 and would consider it minimum for three people. But any boat is better than no boat.
