A few of us used to shoot this broadhead when it was called the Nitron a few years back, so I guess you could say we used it. They discontinued it at one point and just relaunched it as the Thunderhead Nitro this year. I plan on shooting it this fall along with a few other guys as well. As much as I do love my Spitfires, I've always been a fixed blade guy at heart. Here's a little throwback hunt from 2010 courtesy of the Nitron.

I'm still undecided for the fall, after having my 2", triple x perform like they did on the elk... I have zero reason to switch, buuuuuut... I did shoot a few animals with the Nitrons back in the day and they're pretty awesome. It is quite nice to never even look at your broadhead to see if it's closed or make sure it didn't get dirt in it....

I'm going to shoot a deer in Illinois and my arrow is going to fly through him and not stop until it lands in Wyoming. Be on the lookout for it this fall. When it gets there you can replace the blades and use it yourself. My treat.
When BHOD starts getting wicked pass thrus that drive six inches into the ground, I wonder what folks are going to nit pick at then.
I can't speak for Dustin but I've shot 3 deer and 2 turkeys with the Spitfire XXX and it's performed flawlessly every time.
Awesome. Looks like a great Bh. Did you use the nap spitfire practice head to sight it in. NAP told me it would work just fine to fine tune any of the spitfire products in 100 gr.
Yes, I've actually taken quite a few animals with them. I show two whitetails in 2015 with them, then in 2016 I shot a turkey, whitetail doe, elk, mule deer and a buck whitetail in IL. All of which left nothing to be desired in terms of penetration, tissue damage or hole size. I did not. I actually don't even own one. I've found that if I paper tune, then do a walk back tune everything is good to go. I have a few old spitfires that I'll check with if I feel that I need to, but haven't done that in a couple of years.
