We just got another load of snow this week in Wisconsin, so until it melts down some seeing sheds will be hard.

3 more today, like always I was expecting more bone here. 5.8 mile walk. Lost my grandpa this past week so I decided to go to a piece of ground we used to hunt together, found the first shed under one of his old wood tree stands. Pretty cool moment for me. Good luck out there guys![IMG][IMG][IMG]

Sorry about your grandpa. Nice of you to go to a place you shared with him.

Thanks guys. Stopped by my public land spot on the way up to see the girlfriend. Nothing on the wheat this time, headed into the woods for a quick scan & came up with this nice set. I was pretty pumped it's been slow lately. Now in the city for the weekend hopefully get out next week. Got a real prime spot my dad & I got planned for next Saturday, should be a good one[IMG][IMG]

Nice find. Ive had nothing but rain here. 1 1/2" last wknd and about 5" last night. A front is to blow through early Sunday morning, hopefully its dryer than they say. To top it off Im only gonna have 48 hrs off between tomorrow morning and next Saturday. Maybe it will wash them all onto a pile for me. Keep up the good work I'll try to add to it soon.

Drove up to one of my best spots today & came out with 9 sheds & 2 big deadheads. Beautiful day here, tough sheddin though. [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

I'm still on the fence on if the buck boiler is worth the money. I got it as a Christmas present but I think a diy version would work better. It basically has two lead wires going to a heating element in a bucket. Simmers the water pretty nice without a full on boil. On a fresh head that you skin out it works great can finish it in an afternoon. On nasty deadheads I've had to leave them in there for 2 or 3 days, trying to keep the bucket filled that long kind of a pain. Then the element rusts up had to tear it apart & clean it to get it to heat up again. Been having pretty good luck just using Cascade dishwasher detergent in it.
Overall I'd say I've got my money out of it I've done 6 heads with it so far. Once it craps out I will be building my own though.

Yea a lot of my buddies just do a big crawfish pot with the propane but I have neither so I was just curious on it. I want to do it on my small 5 point I got this year just as practice. The head is just sitting there in my deep freezer smh...

Cory, you're pretty much carrying the team at this point but do you have any suggestions for the rest of us? I have walked a lot of ground and followed a lot of deer trails, just have not found a single shed. One dink dead head today, which was better than nothing.
