The season has come and gone and many people are already starting to think about the 2017 season. I know I sure am! It seems like every season there is always that one or two or a bunch of items that we as hunters think we need to become a more successful hunter each year. But like most people, you probably gotta work for a living to save up for some of those items for next season. What is on your list of items you are looking at purchasing before the start of next season? It could be a new camera, climbing stand, calls, etc. Just curious to see what everyone is needing before next season.

Me, personally, would like to get a glow peep sight, nap spitfire xxx broadheads, grunt call, rain gear and you always can't go wrong with another game camera right? haha

Since I recently acquired an out of state property I have been researching wireless game cameras. I think I have settled on the Bushnell Aggressor wireless but I am continuing my research. I would also like to get a set of Hawk Helium climbing sticks. Other than that, just a couple pieces of camo clothing. But you never know what else might look interesting!

    Blessings.........Pastorjim

Do not need but If I can get my hands on a thermal monocular, with the right price, meaning under 200 bucks I would love one.

I've gone a little crazy with the upcoming turkey season. I've bought a new ground blind, new decoys, broad heads, 3 arrows and my Stealth cam should be arriving tomorrow. I will say this is all new gear I've never owned before so obviously I had to have it. The arrows were a quick last minute decision after trying to shoot a 3' Bullhead today with my normal length arrows. Those blades came way to close to my fingers!

I'd like a set of climbing sticks. Thinking about the muddy aerolites or the hawk heliums simply because of the steps on both sides.

I need to get a few new mouth calls for turkey season. Trying to find what I want to try. I like the small company custom made calls, vs the monster commercial lines... any suggestions?
As for deer hunting, I am pretty well set on gear. I put a new HHA on my bow after season ended w/ the larger sight housing and put my old on my wife's bow.
I can't make heads or tails of these Ozonics.. I hear so much good and equally bad... aside from the advertising hype. I just can't seem to pull the trigger w that kind of $$ on something that is so up in the air.

I usually convince myself I need a new bow but for once I might keep a bow for 2 seasons. I have to do more research on hunting here in Texas before I decide what other gear I need compared to hunting PA whitetails.

I am in Springtown (NW of the DFW area). I haven't found a place yet. I did learn about some public land but haven't had a chance to check it out yet.

Most of my purchases hopefully will center around my daughter. I want to get her a bow even though it will be a number of years before she has the strength to hunt with one, Possibly a crossbow for her to hunt with now. Possibly a new ladder stand that I can setup with my hang on so she can come along with me more this year.

As this will only be my 2nd season, I would like both a ground blind and a hang on stand. All I have now is a latter stand.
