Just got back from ordering my birthday gift. 2017 Elite Emerge. It supposed to be a step up from the Spirit. All black and eventually I'll add some color accents.

Now the waiting game for it to be here...

If I wasn't so picky I'd have one today. But, I didn't want camo limbs. So long Mathews, onto Elite.

Oh I'll take pictures! Was a nice bow, will be nice to shoot it when it actually fits me. I'll get the real feel.

I had all eyes on the Elite Spirit, but we went to the outdoor expo and they had the Emerge and Impression, both new in 2017. I shot the Emerge and liked how it felt so went to the archery shop to try and get one. They had the Spirit but not in all black. Then from shooting the two I decided to just add the extra money and get the 2017. Kind of surprised I can't pull the same weight as I did with my Mathews and the draw length is a little different. But, hopefully it works out!

I did get $100 off for going to the expo!

If i can't find an Emerge or impression with 60 pound limbs I will most likely grab another spirit to match the one I have. I built these I have with diffident limbs and cable lengths and I am shooting it at 68 pounds. I think it's the nicest bow elite has built since the z28

Has anyone shot the Option 6 or 7? I have a Bear Lights Out that I've had for 8 or 9 years. I'm looking to try out a dual cam with a drop away. I'm considering sticking to a Bear, but open to trying an Elite. I plan on shooting a few, but if anyone has opinions, I'll take em. The Bear I'm thinking of is the Escape or one of the legends series. Thanks.

Congrats on your new purchase. Lets see those pics when you get it. I do have a question though. Did you measure the draw weight on the Mathews? I assume yes but the reason I ask is sometimes bows run a little on the upper side in draw weight from the factory. I have never gotten a bow yet that was in spec outta the box.

Thanks all! Glad to hear some great things from others. I'm looking forward to being able to shoot it. My Mathew's seemed jumpy if I had to hold still - so with what I felt, the Elite seems to "lock" in better.

Copper - they did - it was 43#. I was in the process of trying to get my way up to 45-50#. My Mathew's was also a 24.5" draw - and Elite I needed a 25".

I got the 35-45# limbs with this bow. The bow shop guy said that bows work better at their max draw weight - and I feel it'll take me forever to get to 50. So I feel the 45 would be much more realistic for me. Especially with my shoulder giving me fits after overuse. I had some concerns about that weight, but he was very positive that 45 is plenty.

If you got an elite and it's 45 max most likely with it maxed out it will be closer to 47 pounds

Congrats Kristen. Other than the finish chipping off the limb pockets I have been very happy with my 2016 Synergy. I usually change bows every year but think I might keep this one a second season.

Coop, I'm hoping I can keep it awhile. I went with the black because I figure if I get bored I can update accessories/strings and make it look different. Honestly, that's the only reason I switched from my Hoyt to the Mathews - color change. Now from my Mathews to this - it was I wanted to get rid of my pink bow - but am hoping this will let me hold back longer.
