Put in a couple good walks yesterday & today with the awesome weather we had. I picked up 12 for my tally, took the girlfriend today an she found her first 2 ever, one mostly underwater & the biggest one!Seen a bunch of bucks still packing and my big target buck that I bowhunted all year has kind of pulled the slip on me. Hasn't been on cam since the end of January and didn't see him in the herd I spooked out. Nor did I find his sheds...Definitely heading back in later as there was 10+ bucks I jumped. Well there is 15 but she found 2 and one is a broken off piece of rack, which reading the rules I think counts? So 13 for me I think?

Thats what Im reading, well at least that it was never corrected to state otherwise. I will update with the 13 but try to get a definite answer on the broke of piece.

I sent PM to bloodcrick to ask about the broken piece. Ill post the answer once I hear back.

Ok below is the PM I received from Bloodcrick. So Cory if you could verify if the piece you found has any part of the base burr on it or not then I will correct our score if needed. I still think its a good find to actually find a piece of the antler.

"hey I'm doing great hope you are to. I seen it mentioned in the rules thread but was never answered by a moderator. If it had at least a section of the burr showing it was a shed I would say count it, but being just a broken piece I don't think it should count. Hope this is cool with you and best of luck, hope you find piles of sheds"

Well I hit the brush today and came up empty. All I could find was a young hogs skull.

They haven't started to drop yet but I hoped to find some older drops because I haven't walked this area in around 5 years or so. Wellit can only get better.

Found a nice deadhead today, it's a buck my buddy shot during archery season. Almost 3 miles from where he hit it, never had any blood trail. Up in the thick stuff. At least brings some closure and will make a nice euro. [IMG][IMG]

Haven't taped him yet, still trying to boil an get it cleaned up.
Went on some public today an picked up 2 more dinks. Walked all day pretty disappointing I used to clean up at this lake a couple years ago. Lot of guys out there now, plus pickup tracks in the food plots Going to be hitting my private spots now had enough of the public for the year. Good luck guys! [IMG][IMG]

I walked a small 35 acre piece of central WI public on Friday. I didn't find any sheds. I did, however, spook up a very large herd of deer, at least 30 of them, with one or more still holding antlers.
