So anybody still feeling that UA is a good stock buy? Spring season and zero rebound in the first quarter.
UA is trying to make a comeback. I think what they did hurt them a lot. They are trying to pull people in or back in. Lee and Tiffany are no loner with Realtree and are wearing UA's camo now.
While I agree with regulating your spending based on your personal values, boycotting Easton because they are going to market an arrow with a UA label is a bit extreme in my opinion. I never cared for the 'Bone Collector' crew or branding and stopped shooting Bemans when the MFX switched to the Bone Collector labels, but kept shooting Easton Axis which builds Bemans. I own a UA sweatshirt and hat from a few years ago and think twice about wearing them since the spearing debacle, but again will not jetison Easton simply because they are making a UA label for their arrows.
The issues that UA is having has little to do with any boycott hunters may have going against the company. It is estimated that there are 21 million americans that partake in archery, the 21 million includes target and hunting archers. The 21 million archers are not much a market for UA compared to the market for athletes.
Hunter boycot hurting UA?? Thier revenue increased by around a billion $ in each each of the past 2 years while also experiencing increases in net income. Their stock previously had been trading at a premium. I think the stock price is just closer to where it should be based on UA's fundamentals.
Based on the fact they UA is reliant on the brick and mortor stores is a big part of the problem, seems when companies do not make quarterly earning projections in consecutive periods bad things happen.I also agree the stock was over valued in years past.
