X3. If I could put two mistake free days in a row together I might just start criticizing other's mistakes. I keep starting theses mistake free streaks and keep tripping up around lunch of day one every time.

If he played the woe is me card or made excuses I'd lose a little respect never kick a man for making an honest mistake. I want sympathy and mercy if I honestly make a mistake, if I want to receive it I have to give it when the shoe is on the other foot.

Spring '14 I shot a bearded hen that I honestly thought was a tom. We have telecheck and phone check here. I tagged it, reported it and sat down waiting for the call and it came. So I cleaned it and donated it to the Hunters for Hungry here. Warden said he'd have shot it too, but rules are rules and he gave me a stern warning but in a nice way.

It all boils down to how you carry yourself afterwards. I'm sure most Wardens, LEO, etc have been lied to so many different ways they know when it's an honest mistake and when your trying to CYA.

This is just a non issue. However the press that goes along with it is to be expected... I guess if you make your money plastering you name and face on everything you can then you have to take the good with the bad. I don't know the guy at all but his statement was straight up, seems like he deserves the benefit of doubt until proven otherwise.

It doesn't matter of you're a famous Hunter or not. Always double check.

What, you've never made a mistake? Typical cabin fever poop.

If honey boo boo misstagged a deer TMZ would cover it, Lee does it and 85% of Americans wonder who this Lee guy is.

I didn't see anything bad about this thread. Nobody's piling on just for talking about it.

Really shows the character of a person when all they want to do is bring others down. Terrible quality in a human and I don't hang around those type of people.

The only time I go check out that **** site is when someone mentions it. It doesn't take long to remember why it sucks so bad. Once a year is too damn much time wasted on that site.

This is a non story. A few years ago I mistakenly put a buck tag on a button buck when I could have tagged it with an either sex tag. That burnt my last buck tag. I didn't do anything illegal, however I am posting this to show people how easy it is to make a mistake when we are tired, or just because we are human.

I have done the same thing with an either sex tag instead of my antlerless tag. Nothing illegal, but not the tag I thought I was using.
