Coyote Carcass

    I would like to try coyote hunting. My question is, what do you do with the carcass ?

    I am working on making a euro mount out of the skull. If the pelt is pretty it can make a nice tanned hide. Otherwise, toss it.

    You could also check around for a local fur buyer or trapper. You may not get much out of them, especially of you don't skin them out but sometimes they will work a deal with you.

    Bring them to your local fur buyer. I have heard of people getting anywhere from $40-$70 on the carcass in my area this year.

    My grandpa use to sell his carcasses to black folks, they was worth as much as the fur!

    saw where someone was eating mountain lion. reportedly in china folks raise dogs as food. seems Coyote would be in there somewhere. particularly if it was feeding off venison or other good chow....

    Yotes will scavenge and on rare occasion get a decent meal. Not good eats.

    Bait as the man said.

    Mtn Lions on the other hand will go after the top shelf live game and are really supposed to be good eatin...or so I hear.

    That's the rumor although I've never actually known anyone that knew first hand.
