I agree. I was misinformed the other night when I responded on this thread. The more I think about it and the more I realize the current administration couldn't risk publicly announcing an impending travel freeze or risk terrorists expediting their plans, the more I realize I was wrong in my initial assessment of the travel freeze. I'll admit it.

I think the media loves the attention they get trying to create a "we vs. them" logic. They've managed to turn everyone against each other and I think it's to prepare us for what's to come.

I believe Trump has great intentions to make this country great and bring us jobs and better security. The media on the other hand doesn't want a man with good intentions in office, so they try to turn anyone who will listen to them against them.

Trump could save children from a burning building and the media would caption it "Trump sprays innocent children with water".

We have done this a few times

In the 20's and then the Great Depression
In the 80's followed by Black Monday
In the energy industry early 2000's, followed NE blackout
in 1999 with banking, followed by the Great Recession

Here's hoping we have learned from our mistakes

Peanuts? I don't take people losing their jobs/homes as peanuts, many have never recovered from 2008 recession.

Get a grip on reality, the 4 men who caused AIG to go under walk away with a billion dollars, while many lost their homes. That's just peanuts, I guess

Germ let's be honest there were way too many people taking home equity loans, also making dumb deals to get houses that were not reasonably affordable. So the housing bubble was not just the evil corporations fault, there is responsibility on all parties.

So both parties had same consequences, people lost their homes and the bankers lost _________, yep nothing. That does not mean you are not correct, but come live in the real world. Who paid the price for the bubble homeowners or wall street?

You also had the highest percentage of Americans owning a homes.

Thats peanuts compared to what socialism has most recently done to Venezuela right in front of our faces. Country rich on oil and the Left government has run the country into the ground and they now spend their days in food line lines.

Capitalism works for a reason. The right to pursue happiness.

The housing bubble was almost solely the fault of individuals. I remember when I bought my house. The bank approved me for much more than what I ended up buying, and because I didn't over extend, when I did end up out of work in 08 we were able to make our payments on our reduced income for 18 months before I got back to a steady job. It was amazing how many people went into their bank to have the bank tell them no you don't qualify, only for them to walk down the street to a place that would qualify them (with a bad mortgage). they tried holding the economy up for a good 10 years by inflating housing and people kept buying more, and bigger and more expensive houses they couldn't afford in the first place.

I believe we MUST have this two party system but we need to come together in the middle.

The left's owns the media and their propaganda machine is so effective it's turning our youth into a bunch of clueless fascist.

You see the same type of mob mentality you saw in Germany 1930.

Agreed, if Greenspan would of started raising the interests rates I we all expected it would have been fine. But instead everyone thought they were real state moguls.

I lived within my means and my company grew and I made money through it all.

Well why should I lose my house because some over craphead did not live within their means? I should feel shame because I didn't refinance to use equity for toys?

Agree, why should someone lose their house and others walk away with millions? Works both ways, you are correct there were many who made their own bed and had to lie in it. Others were just plain screwed.

We all are about me, me, me these days, it's not a liberal or conservative thing, just an American one these days. Until something bad happens, then we take our heads out of the sand and work together.

Did those who lost their jobs deserve it? One was my neighbor, work his *** off, owned his own business. Guess what when the housing market collapse and his business went under, he lost everything. It's not just house payments, it's medical insurance also which is huge. I agree a lot of people made their own bed, but greed was a huge factor is this on the corp side.
