And who threw the passes to allow him to get the record. It's not like he was catching amazing passes like julio for big yardages in coverage. He's a rb that had like 25 yards rushing. I'm not knocking him. He done a great job but he wasn't the game changer.
Had to start from before kickoff to read the thread, not going to lie, I was saying the exact same things. Then as the Pats started scoring and Atlanta just tried protecting the lead I knew what was going to happen. I had a sense when he Pats held them on the opening drive of the second half, things were different. Atlanta's coaching lost them that game and it's going to have lasting effects into next season. I can see them missing the playoffs truthfully. Congrats to the Pats fans on here, I didn't really care who won but I really wanted them to lose.
I can understand, it must be annoying seeing them in the top 3 or 4 year after year. It's awesome to be a pats fan... it's gonna be rough in a few years when it's over. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Not really rough seeing them year after year, I don't dislike them for their success. I still think Brady wouldn't be Brady if he were in a different system. We'll never find out so it is a moot point. I hear ya on the next few years thing. As a Steelers fan it's going to be rough going through the rebuild after losing a franchise QB.
I have a hard time calling it the Best Super Bowl it just had some excitement because it was close. But it wasn't exciting because of being good football. New England played bad for over 1/2 of the game and Atl defense disappeared and Atl offense really never got going either. This has happened a lot over the last few seasons. One team can't do squat for 1/2 the game only to come out and be unstoppable. The main reason is because the rules are such that defenses are at such a disadvantage it really takes the offense screwing up more than a defense stopping them. Dropped balls while wearing gloves that are better than any stickum ever made, Keep spreading out the defense and making them run around eventually they are going to become too tired to cover as well.
Brady said he thought James White deserved to be MVP. Last I checked Brady isn't from Wisconsin. Having said that I think Brady was the MVP. I never realized James White took from the early 2000's Rams wide receivers (Tori Holt & Isaac Bruce) mentality to slide down on multiple plays to avoid the hits instead of driving thru the defenders for more yards. Drives me nuts when I see NFL players do that!
You could say the same thing about the passed being thrown, they were not amazing passes like the pass to Julio. they were check downs and flairs into the flats where White did almost all the work himself. A RB became responsible for 25% of the offensive yards and 75% of the points. It White doesn't deserve the MVP, no offensive player other than QB will ever get it again.
Greatest comeback I've ever seen. Greatest QB to ever have played (IMO). And perhaps the greatest franchise in sports. One of the more entertaining games. But I don't know about best SB ever. Two lopsided halves, dropped balls, turnovers, penalties, horrific coaching at times, etc... Still a remarkable and memorable finish though. And what is with the MVP hysteria? Who really cares about who got the SB MVP. Meaningless.
looks like you were watching the same game that I was. its like the atlanta defenders weren't allowed to be within five yards of the pats receivers.
The last MVP Brady got during the Super Bowl he said the same thing about Butler and gave him the vehicle they get for being the MVP. I don't know if he is doing the same thing for White but I wouldn't be surprised. I have never heard a current or former teammate ever say anything bad about Brady.
I love how Sota is all over this thread giving his opinion and sounding like a jackass after every post...you watch too much Skip Bayless man! Congrats to the falcons on a great season and for 3 quarters they played like champs! But once again, Brady had to show all the haters, like Sota, that he is the GOAT!! Go Pats!!
heard this afternoon that someone swiped brady's game jersey after the game. hope they find that dbag!
