Ive posted similar questions before, but want to get some more input. If you had between $1500 and $3000, what kinda camera would you get into. Been looking close at the Panasonic X1000 in particular. Obviously keys would be low light, 4k and optical zoom.
I'm a Sony guy, so I would be looking the PXW-Z150. It's a little outside the $3000 range but it would be the obvious upgrade to my PXW-X70. Major benefit is the 1" sensor. 120 FPS recording capabilities in HD. I do like the looks of the X1000.
Another thought would be the Sony A7S or A7S II. As a self filmer I would be hesitant about trying out this as my main camera, but if you are a dedicated cameraman this baby is amazing. Obviously this one will cost you on the back end with adding pro audio other accessories but as cousin Eddie would say "She's a beaut Clark". A full frame sensor recording 4K with the best low light performance on the market. What's not to love. If she only came in a camcorder format.
I should add in that i would use it for both self filming and the designated cameraman style of hunting.
The Panasonic GH5 intrigues me. I think it will be my next purchase Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
