Can't find an animal

    I shot my first deer with a bow this season and I can't find it it went through and in positive its a double lung, it was a small doe at 5-10 yds I really want to throw up, looking like it's gonna be a long night

    Will do I hope i get it, it's my first with a bow plus I hate wounding and not recovering an animal it would be my first and I'd like not to have a first

    Well this really sucks, nobody has been able to find my deer, luckily im going out again tomorrow and Saturday, this is my last 2 days out hopefully I'll have better luck

    Not to sound like a ****, but you should make YOURSELF available to recover ANY deer YOU shoot. It's called being a responsible hunter. In 40 years of hunting, I have never relied on somebody else to retrieve MY deer.

    Its not that simple, my education is more important than a deer, not to mention i can only go when I have a ride since I don't have my license, im not happy I wouldve gone back right after school if i could but I don't have the ability to do that

    If you're relying on others to get you to and from and "your education is more important" (which it should be), then you shouldn't be shooting at deer that you might not be able to retrieve. It is that simple.

    I believe the deer to be bleeding inside because it was a double lung pass through i believe, and the blood trail was spotty for about 150 yds, i have no clue what happened and I may never know, I'm not happy about the situation by any means, but when you can't get back the next morning and someone offers help would you really deny help? Sh*t happens and i feel horrible about it but I can't change it its simple

    Yea, $hit does happen, but you have control over much of it. Keep going to school, you'll learn.
