Not to hijack ,but how durable are the plastic limb pockets on the power max? I now guns are made with plastic or polymer I guess, but it not under constant pressure like a bow is.
They're being used on a number of bows now, for a number of years. If they were blowing up we'd of heard of it by now. I wouldn't let it bother me, the charger/ power max are great bows for the money. If it we're my money, I'd pick one of those or a used flagship bow. Also you might be able to find a deal on a newer Bear as well. Bear is right there with all of them, the BR33 being an exceptional bow.
Take a look at this. This is not a "mid price bow" it is a bow with all the features you'd expect on a flagship. All the speed you'd expect in a flagship. All the materials you'd expect in a flagship. It is just priced at what the industry has set as mid price. I don't blame you for wanting to buy new. You clearly will use it a long time and to do that you have to take care of it. Every guy likes a different feel so it may not be your cup of tea but it is the best deal in new hunting bows hands down. Good luck on your search.
I had a Bowtech Carbon Icon recommended to me. I like the idea of a Bowtech because as military I get 15% discount from Bowtech
