I do agree these dbags need taught a lesson. but when you try to do the right thing and the law does nothing about it then what is the next step to correct the problem? it cost my neighbor an entire afternoon off work to sit in court unpaid. she says after that she won't waste her time again. wardens in my area are harassing the hunters more then the poachers. luckily I hunt 2.5 miles back in the woods most of the time where the effects are minimal.
Doing the right thing is NOT being a snitch. It is being a good responsible sportsman. If people don't want to follow the rules they deserve the consequences.
You almost have to call. Engaging that level of hunter could lead way past fisticuffs to shooting. Make hunting great again.
I've called the game warden several times but unfortunately they can't do much here. Game wardens are few and far between. Many counties don't have wardens. I was told the last time I called they would try to get someone out later in the week but unless they actually catch someone in the act there's not much they can do. If you get a name or plat# they will follow up but again that's a tough case to prove.
Where I hunt I don't own the property. If anything were to come up I would inform the land owner and he can decide if he wants to pursue
I am good friends with a couple of game wardens. I'm not afraid to give them a call. I'm tired of law breaking ******s feeling like they are entitled to do whatever they please in regard to wildlife. A lot of people have zero respect for the game we pursue. Those same people more times than not have zero respect for people. Wildlife crimes are crimes against everybody. It's a theft of natural resources and robs others of a chance to pursue that game in a legal manner. Poachers really give hunters a bad name.
I've called on a few different ones in the past. The agents we have around here are pretty quick to respond.
