Jim shockey will be on that thing like flies on dung. Right next to his blazing crossman airbow. Not for me.

Air rifles are not archery equipment....the projectile launched is not what makes something archery.

If you tape a bullet to the tip of an arrow and shoot it with your bow.........it doesn't make it a gun.

I'd love to screw around with one in the back yard. Wouldn't hunt with one though.......

If you put a stock and a scope on a bow some think that is archery.

There was a point in time that crossbows were not considered archery equipment and compound bows were like a red headed step child. with that in mind this could be next.

A string is still involved and is the launching mechanism...at one time taking a traditional bow and adding cams to it was thought to be "not archery" however archery in all forms involves a string.

Sidenote: crossbows are OLD weapons used in ancient times even.

I think it's pretty neat. I'd use one and tell everyone that didn't like it to kiss my butt.

(yeah right, I hardly ever touch my rifle anymore.)

That is pretty innovative although I am with most here in that I don't think that I would hunt deer with it. I could see some applications such as urban coyote hunting.

This guy definitely has free time on his hands. I think that would be great for coyote hunting. lol I never hit them on the first shot.
It would be fun to play around with but it definitely isn't archery. No way would I hunt with it!!

Archery is launching a shaft with a string from energy stored by bending limbs. Guns launch a projectile by expanding gases. So not the future of archery.

Also firearms took the ideal of a stock from crossbows since they predate them by several thousand years. Crossbows also predates bows with training wheels by several thousand years as well.

No I don't think so, but I am sure some hunters will be trying it.
