No, you have to post the first buck you shot, if you shoot another one it will count for 50 points just like if you killed a doe. Go ahead and post the buck up there man.

Went today, saw deer, just not a buck I wanted to shoot. If anybody else kills and we need the 50 points, I can take a small buck for the meat. If we aren't even close I'm just gonna let em walk.

Nice buck man. Bet he's smelling ripe though.
Like Brad said thats the one that'll count for the contest. Unless people raise cane and Fitz allows you to add a different one but i doubt it. Glad you got it, though the meat was wasted.

Brad, don't shoot something just for the points. Win or loose we had a good time.

    Big News

I'm headed out tomorrow to check my cam on a new property. My very own property. Just purchased from my BIL. He bought about 120 and didn't tell me. Called me up a month or so ago and told me to come hunt with him. He had a stand all ready to go. Met him about an hr before sunrise and he pointed down a logging road saying I'd see the stand about 300 yards down the road on the right.
About 11am he texted me since we hadn't been seeing anything and told me to get down and walk some, and then meet back at the truck at noon, my sister was bringing lunch. As we were eating he asked what I thought of the property. So we discussed the lay out of it, all the great sign, views of the Green River Lake, how it was great it bordered WMA, but far enough back that it didn't see much hunting activity. I then asked who it belonged to, who he schmoozed to get permission to hunt it. He then told me "The guy he was buying it from." and I kinda chuckled till he said he and my sister wanted to sell part of it to my wife and I. To say the least I was dumb founded. That afternoon we walked the rest of the property. There's 2 good springs on my side. Tons of white oaks. several good ridge tops for food plots. And a beautiful spot for us to build our house with views of the lake. It's a 2 min drive to the boat docks, or a 15 min walk to the lake and duck blinds. No neighbors, no other houses to be seen. Dead quiet this time of year. All the neighboring properties are 100 acres plus with very steep ridges. So there is a pretty good chance that we wont have neighbors for quite some time. I was amazed at the lack of rock on the ridges, top soil is pretty deep. My BIL dozed out a small pond near one of his future plots and got 6' deep without hitting pan, and it's almost full from a few rains and holding. My wife and I couldn't be any happier. It's what we've been praying for, for awhile now. Better than what we've been praying for. We'll have the room for my parents to build on also, so we can be close by in their aging years. Words cannot express. I'll try to get some pics up of the lay out and hopefully some pics on the giants that roam there. LOL. Just wanted to share this with y'all.

50+- acres of my own personal hunting paradise.

Ohhh, I would eat him lol. Ive got 10 tags( 2 buck) in my pocket so it's not like I'm just shooting him for points. I still have 2 weeks left so maybe a buck will walk out in range.

Just watched your elk bowhunting video and that looked like a lot of fun man. I hope I can do that one day. I went out west gun hunting with my dad when I was 20 for antelope and mule deer but hunting elk with a string and stick would be soooo cool!!!

Yes. Bowhunting Elk is the ****z.

Did my first hunt in CO in 2012 with Will and the guys here in unit 45 and was hooked.

No killz last year but great 6x6 in the 2015 video.
