tried searhing on here for post on this but didnt see it. might have missed it. Anyhow, im hunting tonight and im watching 2 does, they come, eat, leave up the hill. Then decided to come back behind me where wind was blowing and doe starts to blow , runs up hill, then continues to blow every so often. It was about 5:45 or later when it blew, sunset was 5:25. so I could still see but a shot on anything wasnt seeming possible. i quietly got down without a light and headed to my side by side. do you think that was correct move? should i have sat around little longer? made a sound? Also, will my stand be good to hunt tomorrow? opinions....thanks in advance.
Probably the right move if they weren't right there where they could watch your every move. I'd likely hunt it tomorrow if you've been having good movement there. If not it never hurts to give a stand a break.
I've never had luck to hunt a stand after a doe blew at me. It doesn't mean she saw you, it just means she knew something wasn't right like she caught your sent or a slight movement, or something just pissed her off. I'd give it a break for at least a few days. But that's just my opinion from the experiences I've had before. Getting out without being seen was the right decision. Best of luck to you Kentuckybuck. Appreciate ya both!i am going to go to another stand tonight. Got better pics there at the moment anyhow. Ha.
You might as well have been picked off. Move. It does not have to be far. I've hunted gaps between permanent stands and arrowed deer looking up at the permanent stand.
Great job. She is a beauty. You taught her a lesson about pointing things out. Your neighborhood Bow Hunter

Well season is about over, chance I might make it out for one more hunt here in the bluegrass state. But just for update, ever since that buck blew at me, he never came out with me there or on camera during daylight hours. He still came but it was always dark. So I learned the hard way, but I did learn. Thanks for advice from everyone and congrats on the doe brad!
