Having a hard time here guys. Saw some action yesterday, then not a single sighting today.
2 days of bow left, then our gun season starts on Friday.
They're allowing archery during gun season now for the first time, might have to bring the bow out this weekend.

I just saw that Fitz updated score cards and Tribal needs to add the time.

Dnoodles have you entered your buck?

Out with the rifle this week. Will only have a couple weekends after that to get something accomplished. Leave for our honeymoon the day after Christmas

My vacation ended up being a bust. I came so close on a respectable 8 pt on Thursday. He was calmly walking by at 43 yards, but the wind was ripping!, and I couldn't risk it. I saw only 3 other borderline bucks that weren't in range and needed a closer look.
Other than that, spikes and forks aplenty. Not much rutting activity at all.
10 days of hunting, 7 exclusively with the climber is tough. I'm freakin exhausted!
I still have a lot of season left, and plan on getting back out soon. Archery goes until Jan.15. I might do our 4 day, second gun season that comes in a couple of weeks, but take the bow.
I've actually done really well in the later season, hope that continues.
    Good luck!

I'll hunt until January 31st if I don't get anything earlier. Definitely a doe, a buck would be a bonus.

    Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Good luck to the guys getting out this weekend! I haven't been out since I shot my buck 2 weeks ago. But starting to get the itch again. I have 2 more buck tags, 1 for rifle and 1 for muzzleloader. Rifle opens this Saturday for 2 weeks, so I will be out this weekend trying for a dream season! I cant hunt my good property, because its has a 2 buck only. So I'm done there, but I have another property that actually has a couple big bucks running around this year! Its big woods hunting, so its completely different hunting but I love it!

Guys, I need to apologize for being a half baked team member this year. I usually hit it real hard, but due to my Father's poor health I wasn't able to give hunting my undivided attention like I normally would. I did have a doe at 25 yrds and a small basket 8pt at 10yrds, but let them pass, so no team points from me. I had lots of good times conversing with all of you throughout this season and hope to do it again next season. Have a good Thanksgiving, and be SAFE out there!

No need to apologize brother (but you should have drilled that doe!) ;) Your season is over? Man, that sucks

No, there's plenty of hunting season left, it's just that I can't hunt for the proper lengths of time to make it a worthwhile/practical experience. Having to leave the woods an hour before it gets dark just doesn't cut it for me, it's too far a hike in.

However, I learned I'm free to do a morning hunt tomorrow. Maybe I can still catch a straggler looking for love, we'll see!
