Overslept by 25 minutes. I'll leave here 10 minutes late but sunrise is later than a couple weeks ago when I set the alarms so I'll be fine.

It is 32 degrees outside, might e a wuss and frab a couple hand warmers before I head out the door

Thank goodness for spidey senses, I almost missed the best day of the year!

Good luck everyone, today we double at least, the best day so far.

First freeze of the year. Have to admit, after oversleeping by a half hour, didn't really miss dealing with frosted windshields

At the property, I'm about to head out to the stand. I got a thermos of rocket fuel coffee.
33 degrees and calm, this is what I wait all year for.
I expect we'll see some bucks hitting the ground today.
    Good luck!

This is our coldest start of the season as well. Only problem is the orange army shows up today. I'll be in a bottle neck btw a bedding "sanctuary" and food. Hopefully someone comes running through looking for cover.

    Good Luck everyone!

SITKA gear is going to get its first workout this morning.

Settled in. Last day. Didnt bump anything on the way in. As im typing this i hear a buck in the clearcut making a rub. Yikes! Trust the forecast. Thermals will mess with you until the sun hits the valley floor. Then it should switch. I have also found when hunting valleys the wind will backdraft into the leeward side of the hill. Meaning if thete is a west wind on the leeward side it most likely will be blowing east. Like water flowing over a rock. When hunting along a river or fast moving stream i notice the moving water creates a slight wind as well. I trust the weatherman with wind and then play my areas accordingly. Is it light yet? Im rambling
