Ugh, been up since 1am because of freezer issues. Finally got home from taxidermist and freezer is good to go, just have to prop dresser against the door to keep it from coming open until I can get things organized. 8pm and alarm is set to go off in 7 hours, got 3 hours last night. Taxidermist has been hunting the past week or two and said he hasn't seen any rutting activity until last night. Thinks it is going to explode over the next few days. Well this has turned into a cluster ****. His brother took our deer cart home. We are just going to go in for the buck. He had to go get a new cart an hour away. It is over a mile back in up a steep *** hill. And there is no access but by foot
I love where I hunt, don't get me wrong. That being said, I would love to be able to have a choice of terrains and food sources without battling public land nuances. I have to get lucky on travel routes, but my luck has been pretty good over the years. Decided on two bucks to be mounted tonight, scared to go tomorrow having an ipen buck tag yet See ya before light!

Ok. I sold my Tahoe today. Have my dads pick up truck loaded. Getting up at 2:00 am to make sure Mother Nature takes its coarse before I get to the woods. Meeting my buddy and we are hanging a blind stand. Meaning we haven't scouted or been back of the property all year. We will go in and find a spot set up and he will sit while I travel back to my stand. We have a general idea of where to set up so its not 100% blind. All day sit for sure. Since I'm walking through the property on the way to my stand I'm bought Tink's doe n heat. I'll drag a line heading back. Maybe it will work maybe not.

I'd like to say I've done my part about being around the doe groups for over a week now. But absolute 0 bucks trailing behind. 0. Absolutely crazy to me. I'm not sure what else I can do. Only thing I can do is keep pounding....I'll tell you this though, the next mature doe that crosses my path is getting an arrow. Putting meat in my freezer.
