I'm satisfied with the outcome. To me it was more of keeping Hillary out, but I don't believe Donald Trump will be as bad of a President as some make him out to be. GOD is in control and that's one thing we have to remember. I think he'll do fine.
Guess that pipeline is going to be completed right shortly now, coal and steel, oil as well are set to recover.
I'm pretty shocked. I didn't think Trump had a shot at winning. The silent majority really showed up yesterday. The GOP owns the POTUS, House and Senate now. No more excuses or the ability to blame anyone else. Here is your time to shine. Don't screw it up.
Dakota Access in the process of being built may take away some of the desire to put keystone in even though they are different energy companies. Cheap oil doesn't help either.

Depends what you are expecting to change and how fast. Changes to Obamacare should be able to happen quickly. changes to immigration enforcement should be seen almost immediately. Other economic changes take a couple years before really starting to see the impact and in some cases many years. Look how Obamacare was setup so its biggest impacts were not felt until the last year and current. Optimistically excited to see what happens. I don't want to see Trump and Congress simply passing laws and making changes to make them. It all needs to be thought out, debated, amended where needed. I expect Trump to Veto legislation if he doesn't agree even if it was created by the GOP. Obamacare was rammed through because there was nothing the opposition could do, it is just as easy for the GOP to make bad legislation also and I don't want to see any rammed through.
A major reason for coal prices are caused by the government implications placed on the mines and plants. And say we shut down these mines and coal powered plants, where are those jobs going? Obama has been on a warpath with the Coal Industry. They have done everything possible to shut them down. The liberals agenda is to shift wealth from the old establishment to companies that are more in line with their way of thinking, it really has nothing to do with global warming/climate change. If that was the case, we would have found a way to put extensive tariffs on anything imported from China. They are funneling federal funds into these supposedly "Green Energy" companies that cannot exist or be viable without those federal subsidies. Those companies are putting up these "Green Energy" sources like wind turbines that are not efficient, and do not produce power during peak usage times. The cost of Energy for the consumer has been artificially inflated because of the government regulation on one industry all while they are overlooking environmental impact from the other. It's just an attempt to shift power, has absolutely nothing to do with actually producing clean and cheap energy.
I would like to remind everyone that the senate isn't necessarily a lock, they have a one vote majoirty. It wouldnt be too hard for the left to pull one or two over on a certain issue..
There's an estimated 150,000 jobs maybe directly linked to coal as far as mining, transportation, and whatever else. And while reducing coal usage would put some of those people out of work it's nowhere near the amount of jobs that can be created by exploring and actually producing other forms of energy. Coal has been pricing itself out of the market for the last 20 years, not just since Obama took office. I'm not against coal, but people make it sound like it's the heart of our economy when in reality it makes up probably less than 1% of it.
While Trump may have won the election I firmly believe this was more of an anti-Hillary statement than a Pro-Trump statement. My gut tells me that if the DNC didn't basically rig the primaries against Bernie he could have, and probably would have, beat Trump. A lot of people who normally don't vote came out of the wood work to stand up against Hillary, not for Trump. A lot of people hate Trump, but I think a lot more of them hate Hillary, as we saw last night.
I don't like coal personally, it's dirty and expensive but it's the cheapest and most reliable thing we have. I'm perfectly fine with Trump pushing for comprehensive energy development and see us transition to something better. As to remarks made about the R's having the ball in their court, I agree this time they need to buckle down and get stuff done. If they go one more time without getting jack sh*t done...next time I'll vote democrat and help finish putting this country over the cliff. But....I think (and hope) things will go better with Trump pushing an agenda along, we'll see. I'll totally take responsibility for my vote if it turns to crap but the liberals need to also buck up and try to get along for a change and stop pushing their usual socialist BS.
