A 30in ATA halon weighs damn near 5 pounds. I cant imagine what a 34 would weigh.

i have a few buddies who shoot for the factory pro staff i know that a picture was leaked introducing the HALON 33 that will probably be the new flag ship bow however i also have confirmed that there will be a shorter bow for short draw that is apparantly really fast.

Not sure where you're getting your info but none of this is correct.

I texted my buddy at the local bow shop and he wouldn't give me any details. I guess we will all have to wait, less than a week!

I went and shot the Halon 32 today. It was a 6" Elevated II. I love it. I'm going to order the 7" Elevated II tomorrow morning. That Elevated II is a really sexy camo pattern. I took a couple of pictures...

This is kind of funny in hindsight knowing that you were already hunting with the 32.

Unfortunately, the 7 isn't offered in the new camo patterns.

You are right. And that is a bummer. I guess I will go with the Lost XD. I think I want the 7" brace. Although the new camo kind of makes me want to get the 6" brace.

I just sold my Halon (30 inch) and bought a Chill-r. I wanted something lighter this year than the Halon was and Mathews gave me the big middle finger making an even heavier bow with the Halon 32. Probably going to pick up a Carbon Defiant to mess around with too.

Yeah I sold my carbon defiant to get a halon 32 lol the 32 holds so solid on target it's insane the weight really helps alot and there's no shock what so ever cause the weight I shoot groups at 100 yards like I was shooting 20 yards with this bow it's insane never had a bow that I could do that with its awesome you can't even notice the little bit of extra weight but I can tell you haven't shot one yet or you'd be saying something totally different about it . this bow didn't win a crap ton of awards over all the other bows for no reason it won all the awards cause how it holds and shoots with that added weight it's seriously holds very steady the draw cycle is so smooth and it has the perfect string angle for us bigger guys like me 6,4 it's the most accurate bow I've shot in 15 years and the easiest bow I've ever paper tuned I tuned it with 3 shots only and 2 small adjustments

In my 36 years I have probably owned 60-70 different bows, was on a major bow companies corporate staff for years and shot 3D on the national level. I know what I want in a bow, the 32 is not it.

I want to add so it doesn't seem like I am bagging on the Halon. I loved everything about my Halon except for the mass weight. I prefer a 4 pound or less bare bow and then I add the weight if I feel it is needed, where I feel it is needed via the stabilizer and side bar. I make the bow fit me and my style, not make myself fit to the bow.

For this year I was very much hoping for a 4 pound or less bow from Mathews with crosscentric cams. A 30 to 33 inch axle to axle carbon riser crosscentric cam bow, I'd have been all over it.
