Thanks! That's where he ended up basically it wasn't by design. Was a mess to get him up out of that ravine!

After last weekends sightings, I had high expectations for the today. At first light I could hear a deer coming up the hill, and grunted at it. Before long, a fork comes sneaking in to investigate the grunts before moving off into the standing corn. Then about 20 minutes later, I caught movement out of the corner of my eye and again grunted at it. I could see the buck come up over a small knob through some pretty thick cottonwood saplings. Pausing at the top of the knob to scan for the source of the grunts. He the proceeded about 15 yards into my first shooting lane. And just like that it finally happened. 6 yrs to the day since I shot (and did not recover) a buck...but the long wait is over and I have my first whitetail buck in the freezer.

He was standing in front of one of my trail Cams when I grunted at him and was able to get 4 pics of him. Pay no attention to the time stamp...apparently I was not smart enough to move the time stamp in the right direction...oops.

    Scored 108.

Nice buck! It's been pretty slow our neck of the woods. Passed on some good 120-130 3.5 year olds. Hoping the more mature ones will start getting on their feet. Have Friday-Sunday off, finally a little cold snap. Good luck everyone!!

Woodbury and or simco or something like that.

Scored my buck 89 7/8, I went into killing mode after I saw the width. I thought there was more. That's alright thou. I am VERY happy with him. Hoping to kill bigger in Ohio

Awesome! Congrats!! And just a heads-up.. Woodbury gets hammered hard. Brett (virginiashadow) and a few others came up a couple years ago to hunt that area and didn't see a thing. Let me know if you guys decide you're looking for a change. My cabin is in Blue Rock, only about 45 minutes south of there.

Shot the big 8 I have been after tonight. Hit him WAY back. No blood on the arrow but white hair and stomach contents on the ground by the arrow. Could see intestines hanging out as he ran off. Marked where he was standing and backed out. Trying to find a tracker in the area but having zero luck with that. Sick to my stomach...going to be a long night

It's the 8 that I posted back in the end of October. Going to be a long night. I'm a mess. Was at full draw for a minute plus and just didn't execute
