***Official 2016 Live from the Stand Thread***

I looked all day. Found blood trail stretching over quarter mile, it was tricky connecting it all cause there would be spaces of 50-100 yards with nothing and it backtracked a bit. Deer didn't follow the rules and bed down within 100 yards and die like it was supposed to. I can't be too mad at it though cause I didn't follow the rules and shoot it where I was supposed to. Blood was a drop every 10-15 ft with the occasional spot where it would stop for a minute or 2 and drop a dozen drops or so. Finally near dark I determined where it went off the property for good and got permission to check that land tomorrow. Gonna sleep like a rock.

Yay. My alarm went off at 3:00 am like planned. In Tahoe heading down hopefully one pit stop before I sit all day hopefully

Finishing the coffee and heading out. Wind is different today using a different approach to an area I harvested a doe from last week. Nice oak flat near water and bedding. Good luck fellas

Decent sit yesterday saw 5 deer so that's more than in last 10 sits combined
70+ degrees here hoping for an all day sit with rain and cold approaching tonight
And all day rain tomorrow

Just got settled in. Came back to where i seen big one last week. Cant do any worse than ive been doing lately. Acorns still bombing down.

 

Had a pissed off buck raking trees and pawing the ground not 30 yds from me.....but 30 min before shooting light. Then an unknown came by 5 min before light.

 

Hannah and I are in the tree together. I'm watching the backside and she's watching out front. I sure hope something comes by for her to shoot. We were together in the tree Last November 2 and I killed my target buck. An anniversary buck would be fine by me.

 

All set up in the blind walked in and found a new scrap 10 yards behind my blind , quite no wind, and a little chilly out, should be a good morning

 

Ever since that early movement it's been a ghost town.

 

Got deer all over me this morning. 6 bucks 2 does. One 100" 8 ptr and one 120" 8 ptr. Bigger one came out downwind of me and casually went the other way chasing a doe. Had 2 smaller bucks spar for about 3 seconds then the smaller one ran off
