Well tonight totally sucked! I had to move blinds for my kids because they were having pig crap knifed into their fields. Not some thing new so that didn't bother me but when one of the hired guys was finishing up a field below us I asked if he knew what field was next because I told him I didn't want to be in their way. I told him I had the kids in the field to the south of him . He was an *** and just said he didn't know pretty rudely. Well with just less than a hour left and a dozen does in the field and a buck around 130ish walking right at my son they drove up in a work pick up and cleared the field before driving down to set up on the brothers farm. WTF they had no reason to even pull up there. Don't know why some adults are so against youth hunts and willing to mess up a young kids hunt.
Lots of jerks out there. When it comes to deer hunting it doesn't take long to find out who they are.
I rarely talk to the landowner he doesn't do well with confrontation so it wouldn't do much good for me. I almost pulled into the brothers farm but it wouldn't have ended well so I just used it as a teaching lesson to show my kids that there are d bags we have to deal with.
Lol. Were those you're exact words. Sorry they were that way. You should've had your kids go up to them sobbing saying they ruined their first hunt.
Sorry man, I don't understand why he would act like that, besides jealousy of your kids getting to hunt early.
Maybe it's not the youth hunt he doesn't like but the fact that you lease the land, if he would even know that. As I'm sure you know locals often get upset when they can no longer get hunting rights to land that maybe they once used to get for free because of other people swooping in and paying the money they're not willing to pay.
If he used to hunt it for free it would have to been a long time ago. I have had the hunting permission on this farm for 29 years.
