Hello all, I was shooting my bow this weekend and noticed that my limb splintered on the edge a little bit. I'm going to get it checked out soon, but just want some opinions on whether it is safe to shoot or will the limbs need to be replaced?
Yes it's ok. Very common with Hoyt's. A lot of owners will clip and sand it. Happens a lot when there's an impact on the corners of the limb. The edges of the limb are really squared off. You're fine but Hoyt should warranty it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yeah my hoyt did the same thing. Clip and sand lightly. Call hoyt to see if they will replace. They did for me.
I haven't had this problem with my Hoyt yet, but it is good to see that others have had good experiences with Hoyt's customer service and warranty.
Neither have I, and my bow is a 2007 Hoyt Vectrix, which closely resembles his bow. It doesn't look like any kind of a big deal.
It's fairly common with Hoyts. Most just clip it and keep shooting. If you are the original owner Hoyt will probably replace them, if you bought the bow used you will have to buy your own limbs.
