Has anyone had the chance to shoot any of the new Hoyt bows? How do they compare to last years from Hoyt? Nitrum?

I have not shot any of the new Hoyts - the only ones available for me are the wrong dexterity (I be a lefty )

I did get a 2015 CS 34 ZT instead because I did not want to have to go through the trouble just yet and get new adapters for my press.

Best bow I've ever had to date - wished I had done it sooner instead of messing around with all those shorter ATA bows in the past (Spyder 30's, Nitrum 30, etc).

I have shot the Defiants on 2 occasions. IMO they were awful. Pretty much name something except looks and it was bad at it. Somebody else may love it but I just hated from the time I felt the grip to the Time the arrow hit the target. Best part of shooting it for me was being done shooting it.

An acquaintance gave me this advice last year. Don't go shoot the new bows unless you can afford buying one.

I'll be sticking with my Hoyt Charger for the foreseeable future. I will likely be buying kids bow or crossbow to get my daughter started.

You are one of the first people I have read that said they hated it. Some say the Turbo was a little rough but most seem to like the non-turbo models a lot.

I shot the Defiant and I wasn't all that impressed. I wasn't a fan of the draw, But some of my buddies shot the Carbon Defiant and they said they absolutely love that bow, they told me it was smooth, quite, and accurate.

To each their own. I'm sure some people out there like them.

I have not shot any of the new ones mostly because it would take one incredible bow to pull me away from my Hoyt Vector 32. Loved that bow since the moment it touched my hands.

I love hoyts carbon bows better, I have a element and love the spyder turbo(my next bow). I want to shoot the defiant carbon I've heard good reviews on it. I wasn't im pressured last year with the nitrum like I said I rather the carbons.

I just bought last year's carbon spyder new. Got a smoking good deal on it.
Bow shoots great. Love the draw cycle.

When one of you guys decides to sell one of these new Hoyts cheap, I might consider upgrading my '01 MT sport. I shoot old crap, but shoot it fairly well.

Much preferred this year's lineup. I used to shoot Hoyt for years. 2 years ago, I made a change to Prime. I still enjoy testing out the new lineups every year though. Last year's Nitrum didn't impress me much. I preferred the Spyder series. I'm a tall guy, with long arms and a 31" draw, so I really liked what Hoyt did with the string angle on the new Defiant series. That was primarily the reason I switched to Prime, with the 35" ATA, the string angle fit me perfect, at the time the Hoyt's did not. I might consider going back to the dark side in the next year or two if they keep it up, mostly because I really miss carbon risers during the late season here in Vermont.

+1 for Prime, never owned one, shot this past years model that sells for about $900 bucks? Forgot the model ,but man, it's a shooter. A buddy of mine shoots in leagues and his scores went up considerably after getting his Prime. I was impressed, however, I'm more partial to Hoyt and PSE.

Just got a new 2016 Hoyt ignite a couple weeks ago. I know its a fairly cheap bow but so far groups really well. Love the feel and compactness of it so far.

Just got the 2017 Hoyt carbon defiant. It's a tack driver and smooth as silk. I really like it, but I just upgraded from a Mathews drenalin, so I don't have much to compare it to.

I have a 2009 AlphaMax 32. I think someone should give me a Carbon Defiant so I can compare the two.
