Well guys no luck tracking this evening. My arrow was covered and we follwed specks of blood for 75 yards. Anyone know of someone with a dog in the south western Ohio? Any tips or hints will help. Looked to be a lung shot.
Well, no blood drawn for me but it was a great night in the the woods. Was covered up with does and their fawns most of the evening. Also, had 2 small bucks come in. I would like to take a doe but every doe that came in had atleast one fawn with her. Maybe I'm a big sissy, but I would just rather not shoot a mama with little ones. All in all, great night to be in God's creation!
Hum. How do I start? Well the farmer/ neighbor was cutting corn tonight. I walked in through the corn to get to my new found spot. Yes I was trespassing. The hunters don't care but I never asked the owner. Got to my spot and set up. All is good the he was cutting 20 yards from me. I'm not trespassing where I hunt. It's getting dark and I decided it's over. Now to avoid any uncomfortable conversations with neighbor I decided to walk into my property and take the trail out. Once on the ground I started seeing fresh scrapes. I found 6 total towards my 2 man stand where I have a couple of cameras hung. I pulled the 1st card and proceeded to the one behind my stand ( last year a buck used this area as his bedding ground. I turn right and make it 5 yards and it happened. Got blown! Not once but perhaps 20 times. I'm not sure why I didn't proceed with pulling the Sd card to see what ruined my experience but I choose to back out instead. On my way out I was busted 3 more times in the dark. FML! Not sure going tomorrow is even worth it, but you can't kill a deer on the couch. To make matters worse I can't find he SD card I did pull. Lots of Vodka tonight.

Beautiful morning here in NC might actually need my jacket today! I'm on my way... but it's for pancakes and bacon at IHOP. lol I'll be going in for an evening hunt though.
Well my morning is already shot. I walked down to my tree took my climber off my back getting ready to set up when I see two flashlights crashing through the woods 100 yards away. Just got settled in. Another new spot on a ridge that is plastered with acorns and buck sign everywhere. Havent hunted here in a few years. Only have the first hour then have to go to my sons soccer game. I've done the quick kill at daybreak before. Hopefully I can repeat.
