    See anything yesterday?

Today looks like a go to be in a tree by about 3. Hopefully a little earlier. I think today feels like a good day to take a doe if one strolls in front of me. Last time out I had no plans to take one. Today feels much different.
Good luck anybody that's hunting today!

Got out yesterday. Sat in the stand over my biggest plot and within about 45 minutes the wind completely shifted to blow all of my scent out over it. Checked my weather and it said it was supposed to keep blowing most of the evening so I climbed down and moved.
On my way out though I couldn't help but notice how huge this food plot grew. Here's a couple turnips that were just hanging out along the edge as I was walking out. One is about the size of a baseball, the other a little smaller.

I stuck a buck last night. If it's the buck I think it is it's a main frame 10 with split g2s and split brows. It was Was a 40 yard broad side shot. He snuck up on me and I don't see him till he was in my last possible shooting lane. My nock didn't light up but I thought I stuck it in the pump house. Sat till dark then went and met some friends to help track. Couldn't find the arrow but Had great blood for 80 yards then started to die off and lost it about 175 - 200 yards. Where we jumped him out of a bed. I'm meeting a friends cousin that trained his dog to track deer @ 8 then heading out. So wish me luck! I'll keep the updates coming!

    Hey guys..
I hunted the MI opener this past weekend. Crawled back into some public but didn't see anything.
It's only Monday and I already can't wait til Friday when I leave for WI.. a nice cold front is rolling in with a red moon should have bucks on their feet a bit earlier.
I'll be starting to ramp up my time in the woods come mid October.
    Good luck everybody.

Good luck man. From what I hear adding a dog into the mix changes everything. I wish we could use them in MN. Keep us updated. Can't wait to see pictures with your hands on him.

Well guys we ended up bumping him out of a bed and he hauled across the soybean field & came to conclusion of a shoulder hit. He looks like he will see another day. Can find the arrow either. But it is the buck I thought it was.

From the way he was running I'm gonna guess no more then 4" I think I hit the web of the shoulder blade. More then likely what happen is the broad head lodged in there and he broke the arrow off running through the red brush. But no way to tell with out the arrow.

sorry to hear. I feel your pain. last year I hit a big buck in the shoulder and lost him. a couple weeks later I hit a doe in the shoulder and lost her. needless to say no more heart shots for me or precalculating the deer dropping. my pin is going dead center lungs!!!

I was hoping to but looks like I'm working all weekend. At least we are asking the corn off our farm. Still have about 5-10 acres left as winter food for deer.
