I purchased a Reflex Grizzly draw weight set at 60 lbs and I set the draw length at 27".In paper tuning at about 8 ft,i had bad downward tears.I ended up moving the nocking point a total of about 2 inches high. It's shooting straight now and leaving bulletholes in paper tuning but can anyone tell me why i would have to move the nocking point so high? Thanks in advance for any help.

Is it possible the rest was just mounted way too low from the start? Was the arrow running through the berger hole (hole rest mounts to) when you started?

I never seen a bow tune with a nock hight that high. Either something is way wrong or your measuring incorrectly

    Fletching contact?

    What rest?
Pictures at rest and full draw?
I never paper tune but what does it look like a 4'? At 12'?

I saw someone trying to set there nock point with a drop away rest. They didn't raise the launcher so at brace the nock was way high.

Okay-my apologies for incorrect measurement-it's just over an inch high.I was guessing on my original post when i should've measured then.It sure looked like 2,rather odd looking anyway lol.I'm going to reply to each response individually now..

Me either but i was wrong-it's just over an inch, not two inches.I should've measured before posting instead of guessing but as noticeable as it is,i thought it was 2.

I am trying to remember the bow. I think it some weird *** rotating mods that had all kinds of screwy knock travel.
If it has rotating mods take a look to make sure they are both pined( mod screw) in the same position. Maybe it's marked 1, 2, 3 or a,b,c. Make sure both top and bottom cams are the same.

As for fletching contact,i installed a Quicktune 360 which has no contact, and ended up reinstalling the whisker biscuit that came on the bow.Same issue with both rests.I'll try to post some pics tomorrow.I haven't tried at 4ft or 12ft-should I?I thought you just shoot at the one distance.(I'm new to paper tuning)

Advance the top cam only and see if that clears it up.

Forgive my ignorance but let me make sure I'm understanding you before i move anything in the morn-i move the top mod to the 27" hole/notch?(I told in original post that the draw length is 27" but today i set it back on 26)My personal draw length is 26 1/2 but in shooting both 26 and 27,felt i was more comfortable at 26.Thanks for your help and patience!

Yea, try it. Then set the nock about 1/8 above level and see what happens.

Ok,will do that in the a.m. Thank you for your time and advice. Will post the results tomorrow. If this works, what does that mean?I assume there would be something bad wrong to have to set the top different from bottom?

Ideally, in a perfect world the nock would travel in a perfectly straight line till it was off the string. However some bows cams design doesn't accomplish that.

So what your looking at rest ( a very high nocking point) may not be exactly what is taking place through the power stroke when string is released. By advancing the top cam ( maybe ) we can level it out a bit. It's a possibility. Not a certainty as there other variables at play. It's worth a try.
