Quick question wanted to know what yalls thoughts were on wearing a face mask and gloves? I currently don't wear either but starting to reconsider!
I wear a mask once the weather gets colder. If not a mask, then some camo paint to break up the shape of your head. I typically wear gloves, but not every time.
I'm not regularly into gimmicks and what not but I always wear a balaclava type mask and usually a nice neck gater. I fell much more confident with those on and I seem to be able to get by with a lot more in the stand. Besides in cold weather they're really comfy.
I wear face paint and a mask when it gets colder but I like to always wear at least some light gloves especially early season to keep mosquitos off of my hands. Just one less place they can get you
I always wear a facemask but I never wear gloves. Handwarmers and pockets is usually all that I need throughout the season.
Deer see movement first and I don't want to illuminate and add a spotlight to the things on me that move the most so my face and hands are always covered.
Depends on the situation,if I'm rifle hunting and expect the deer to come out at 100/150 yards I won't wear a mask or paint but if I'm bowhunting and the deer are gonna be close then I almost always wear a mask or face paint.
I have a hard time with a mask so, I camo paint up each time. Rarely do I not wear paint in archery. Rifle, never.
I don't like covering my ears. Last year I used the coals from smoking my clothes as a paint on hands and face.
I use facepaint. Carbomask is the brand I love. I used other cheapo brands and they are more hassle than they are worth. No struggle with Carbomask. Goes on easy, comes off easy, and best of all, doesn't make your face feel grimy.
Just my beard until it gets cold, then I use a neck gaiter opposed to a full mask. I pull it up over my nose. I am deaf in my right ear so when I cover my left ear with a full mask it really limits what little hearing I have left. So with a gaiter I can leave my left ear uncovered pretty much.
Beard and burn the end of a cork and use that as "face paint". The way we've been doing it for years and much easier to clean off.
I use a full cover and cut holes by my ears to keep my hearing from being muffled. For me it helps to keep my hair out of the way when I hunt. I haven't had any issues with it (I hear just fine) and it does keep me warm!
carbo mask face paint and an actual carbon filter 2 way mask this year till it gets cool then I'll wear face mask with carbon mask under
